Supported Living

Teaching life skills and empowering people for life

“Our Supported Living services provide a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for individuals with additional and specialist needs. We support children, young people, and adults, helping them to develop essential life skills, build confidence, and work towards greater independence.”

Empowering Children and Young People with Life Skills

Every young person in our semi-independent living service completes a 10-week programme called My Semi-Independent Living Skills Workbook.

This structured programme is designed to teach essential life skills and empower young people to take responsibility for their environment, lifestyle, and future independence. It focuses on practical learning in areas such as:

  • Social and recreational skills

  • Accessing education and training

  • Personal hygiene and self-care

  • Booking and support for holidays

  • Accessing welfare benefits

  • Finding and maintaining employment

  • Managing tenancies and paying bills

  • Registering with medical services

  • Budgeting and saving

  • Laundry, cooking, and home management

Our aim is to help every young person build the confidence and practical abilities needed to live independently and make positive life choices.

Empowering Adults with Life Skills

Adults living in our supported living services are encouraged and supported to develop practical, social, and personal skills that promote confidence and independence. Through structured plans and one-to-one support, each person is guided to take ownership of their lifestyle, choices, and wellbeing.

Our support focuses on:

  • Maintaining a healthy daily routine

  • Budgeting, saving, and managing finances

  • Cooking and healthy meal planning

  • Personal hygiene and appearance

  • Accessing welfare benefits and community resources

  • Employment and volunteering opportunities

  • Managing tenancies and household responsibilities

  • Attending appointments and accessing health services

  • Building positive relationships and social networks

  • Taking part in leisure and community activities

We believe that every adult, regardless of their background or ability, deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, purpose, and independence in a supportive and empowering environment.
